WEBSITE DESIGN · CHRISTCHURCH
Websites that
make sense.
People arrive with a question. A good website helps them find the answer and know what to do next. PKO plans, designs and builds websites around the people using them and the business behind them.

Looks good.
Works harder.
A lovely homepage is a good start. It still has to help someone understand what you offer, find what they came for and take the next step without needing a map and a packed lunch.
PKO looks at the whole journey: what visitors need to know, which choices matter and where the site is getting in their way. Then we bring the structure, words, design and build together so the experience feels like one considered piece of work.
That can mean a new site, a better version of the one you have, or a focused landing page for a specific job.
THE WORK
From the first click to the final detail.
Plan the journey
We work out the pages, content and paths people need, then make the important decisions easy to find.
Design the experience
Copy, imagery and visual design work together to tell the right story and make the site feel unmistakably yours.
Build and refine
PKO creates responsive pages and checks how they work across screens, paying attention to clarity, usability and the details that can make a visitor give up.
IN PRACTICE
Snowbiz.
Snowbiz needed a clearer way for visitors to compare ski and snowboard gear and book a rental, especially on mobile. PKO reworked the Shopify experience, product structure, copy and booking journey.
Following the redesign, Snowbiz reported a 78% year-to-date increase in online sales, with May up 431% year on year. Good design looks nice on a screen. Better design helps someone get onto the snow.
GOOD TO KNOW
Before we start.
Can PKO improve an existing website?
Yes. Sometimes the structure or messaging needs work, and sometimes a full rebuild makes more sense. We’ll look at what is already there before deciding.
Can you help with the words as well as the design?
Yes. Copy is part of how a site guides people. PKO can shape the messaging and page content alongside the design.
Which platform do you use?
That depends on the job. PKO has worked with Shopify and WordPress; the right setup should suit the business and the people who will keep the site up to date.
